Chronic Fatigue: 9 Tips To HEALING

What is it?

That is the question.

The doctors don’t know for sure.

It’s a cluster of diffuse symptoms lumped under the vague umbrella of chronic fatigue.

Cause is “unknown.”

It may be triggered by immune system problems or a viral infection.

Some symptoms may diminish with “treatments” like antidepressants, but “cannot be cured”.

Sounds hopeless, right?


Symptoms like profound fatigue, pain in the joints or muscles, inability to exercise, malaise, confusion, forgetfulness, lack of concentration, excess sleepiness or sleep disturbances, anxiety or apprehension, depression, headache, muscle weakness, sensitivity to pain, or sore throat are all signals the body, mind, and spirit are using to communicate a profound cry for HELP!

“Help! Your lifestyle needs to change!”

“Please, notice and care for me,” says your body.

“Please, tune into my wisdom, and make the necessary changes to cultivate more health and happiness!”

9 Tips To Begin Or Deepen Your Healing Journey Right Away:

1. You may be chronically under-carbed.

What is your diet like? Are you eating the standard American diet, Keto, or some other calorie restricted plan? If so, your diet may be the culprit.

Try incorporating more and more fresh fruits and vegetables in your diet every day. Track your calories and nutrition on Cronometer.com and see what you are actually consuming.

Personally, my energy levels sky rocketed the moment I stopped calorie restricting and started eating high carb low fat raw vegan.

2. How is your sleep?

Are you sleeping enough? What is your sleep environment like? Is your room dark, cool, and quiet? Is your bed comfortable? Do you have enough space?

Make adjustment to ensure you are setting yourself up for a restful night of sleep. Wear an eye mask. Sleep in the guest bedroom if you have a partner and need more space. It’s ok! If this blows up your relationship, then you’re dealing with deeper problems…just sayin’!

3. Rest when you need it.

When you’re feeling burnt out and run down, make arrangements to give yourself the time to rest, relax, and nurture yourself. Think bubble bath, massage, essential oils, meditation, yoga nidra, gentle yoga, music, conscious media, or your favorite movie.

Whatever you need to do to relax, do it! Ask for help if you need someone to cover responsibilities for you. When you feel better, you’ll be able to give more!

4. Ensure you are including relaxation and recreation into your lifestyle every day.

This may be meditation, yoga, and/or walks outside. Find what works for you and make time for it! This will help reduce your stress.

5. Move, but not too much.

Now is not the time for HIIT work outs and training for endurance events. Choose yoga, gentle walking, tai chi, and other mindful movement practices. Low to moderate intensity is where it’s at!

6. Test your cortisol.

Cortisol is implicated in adrenal fatigue, which is often implicated in cases of chronic fatigue. Perhaps your stress hormone is through the roof. If that’s the case, then everything I’ve already mentioned will help.

If needed, consider using herbs to help your body adapt to stress. Within 60 days, I lowered my cortisol using tulsi and ashwagandha. Read more about that here.

7. Check for food allergies.

If you are allergic to a food you are consuming, then you are creating extra inflammation in your body, causing your immune system to be on overdrive. With allergy test results, you can make changes to your diet to ensure you avoid foods that cause an allergic response in the body, thereby reducing inflammation.

8. Get bloodwork done to check for nutritional deficiencies.

Vitamin B12, Vitamin D3, and iodine are often problematic. Supplementing when necessary can do a lot of good to resolve vague symptoms and correct imbalances.

9. Check in with yourself energetically.

Reiki can help balance your chakras. Pay special attention to the lower chakras.

Eat fresh whole plant foods and wear the colors red, orange, and yellow. Work with crystals that support the root, sacral, and solar plexus chakras.

Smudge yourself and your environment. Ask any negative energy to leave. Regularly cleanse yourself and your space to ensure you are working with just you and any friendly angels, guides, and guardians you may have.
